SAK-4 Manual Micro-Dosing Device

If you need a dosing device with a higher output the SAK-4 will fulfil your requirements. It is basically an enlarged version of the SAK-1 and performs four dosings per work cycle. In its standard version it is designed to fill recepactles with a diameter of up to 10 mm. It can be adapted to non-standard receptacles which would, however, be a little more special and bespoke compared to the SAK-1 and require a custom build.

It offers the perfect solution to produce a number of units that range from a few dozen to so-mewhere around 10.000 units. The targeted output is appr. 3.000 – 5.000 units per working day with two operators. Dosings volumes are readily available at low cost. As its little siblings the SAK-4 will easily handle everything you throw at it.

The magazine for the receptacles accomodate 80 units which constitute a sub-batch. Each individual receptacle has ist own „address“ (printed on the magazine) which makes it possible to trace back each individual dosing (several magazines required).

The SAK-4 is recommended for situations where the lot size is too big to make dosing by hand feasible and avoids having to resort to using so-called „lab-machines“. With a foot-print of 30 cm x 40 cm (12 inches x 16 inches) and a weight of appr. 15 kg (appr. 35 pounds) it can still be easily relocated by a single person offering the convenience to be placed close to a precision balance during dosing and being stored somewhere else after the job is done.

Key features and benefits

  • Dosing range: 1 mm³ – 130 mm³
  • Accuracy: RSD ≤ 2% for crystalline powders and ≤ 3% for cohesive powders
  • Very small amount of powder needed to start dosing; virtually no powder loss
  • Emulates established industrial dosing machines
  • Integrated dosing and filling
  • Dosing Volumes are cheap and readily available
  • Easy to operate
Small and lightweight. Can easily be relocated or shipped
  • Extremely robust construction. No need for maintenance. Low total cost of ownership.
  • Output: the device is designed for quantities from a handful of samples as needed e.g. for NGI-tests up to several hundred units. Typically check-weighing takes longer than the dosing process itself. However there have been projects where several thousand units have been made with the SAK-1.
  • Time to set up the device: out of the box the device is ready to go in less than 10 minutes

Recommended for universities and development labs where flexibility and simplicity are key. No more need to manually weigh doses or using a contractor for filling trials.
